I'm starting my rice up again. I'm experimenting with cooked grains.
If the theory holds, these will be less prone to shatter, and will be able to hold more detail than the uncooked grains that I have been using so far.
I'm also getting back into the carved mustard seeds as well. With luck, I'll have a few finished pieces to show.
I've got a website in the works as well. Reply if you are interested in seeing it!
I have some more photos to add.
I am only up to 70ish pics on here now, though I have many thousands to go through.
I go out on a shoot and take a couple hundred at a time. I haven't even gotten to the chinese garden or the wedding photos yet!
Maybe I will this weekend.... The desert is starting to green up with all the rain, so I might go out and take some more desert pics.
Surprise!.
In addition to my jewelry, I am a photographer as well. I recently visited the Children's Museum in Indiana and saw, amongst other things, this wonderful glass sculpture. I couldn't stop taking pictures of it. I ended up getting around 50 good shots of it, any one of which I would be proud to have on my wall or desktop.
Currently I am using "Maelstrom"
Thanks for looking!
very cool pieces, i totally applaud your talent and utter patience for this craft, i design jewelry pieces myself, but use beads and crystals and such, i could never sculpt rice grains, awesome work
Thank you very much! I work hard on these. I have just come back from vacation with a whole pile of tiny seashells and things that I was thinking of toying with. It likely be a couple months before I perfect the techniques necessary to make those creations though.
